BMW to become Platinum Sponsor of Canadian Open
Whitby, Ontario – BMW Canada and the Royal Canadian Golf Association have announced a new three-year sponsorship agreement. The partnership, through the 2009 Canadian Open, will see BMW become an exclusive Platinum Sponsor in the automobile and motorcycle category.
BMW will be designated as Official Vehicle of the Canadian Open, with exclusive logo rights, on-site promotional initiatives, advertising, vehicle use and displays, and corporate hospitality programming.
BMW Canada’s affiliation with golf includes the BMW Golf Cup International amateur series, conducted in Canada since 1994. The BMW Ultimate Golf Challenge, in support of the children’s charity REACH for the Rainbow has been raising funds annually since 1997; with professional golf, BMW has previously been the Official Vehicle of both the Canadian Skins Game and the former Vancouver stop on the PGA Tour.
