BMW to auction charity hockey vehicles on eBay

Whitby, Ontario – BMW Canada and its Greater Toronto Area retailers, with the help of professional hockey heroes, are auctioning off thirty specially-customized BMW X5 Hockey Edition vehicles to support children’s charities. The auction begins today and runs until April 20, 2006.

Each vehicle has been driven and inspired by one of 23 hockey players, including Tie Domi, Mats Sundin, Ed Belfour and Eric Lindros, and will be presented personally to the winner by the player, along with individually-autographed hockey memorabilia. The first vehicle to be auctioned will be from Tie Domi. The Hockey Edition package includes a BMW Sport Package, Premium Package, Activity Package, comfort seats in Nappa leather, velour floor mats and panorama sunroof; all models are finished in a distinctive blue colour combination and are individually numbered and signed.
