BMW is official vehicle of Tennis Canada’s Rogers Cup

Whitby, Ontario – BMW has announced the extension of its contract with Tennis Canada as the “Official Vehicle” of the Rogers Cup, presented by American Express. BMW has supported Tennis Canada since 1990 and will remain a platinum-level sponsor for the event, which is a regular stop on the Sony Ericsson Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) Tour.

As part of the sponsorship agreement, BMW will provide a fleet of vehicles for transportation of the players and media, along with on-court signage, vehicle displays, hospitality, preferred parking and program advertising.

The Rogers Cup rotates annually between Montreal and Toronto, attracting one of the strongest player fields on the WTA circuit. Heading the competition for the US$1.3 million purse are Maria Sharapova, Amelie Mauresomo, Serena Williams and Venus Williams. The 2005 Rogers Cup will take place at the Rexall Centre in Toronto from August 13 to 21.
