BMW dealers now offer BMW Individual Collection

Whitby, Ontario – BMW Group Canada announced that the BMW Individual Collection is now offered at authorized BMW dealerships. The BMW Individual Collection allows customers to select from a selection of interior and exterior finishes that were previously constrained to special orders and limited editions.

The BMW Individual Collection is based on the BMW Individual program developed in Germany in 1991. In recent years, approximately 40,000 BMWs have been tailored specifically to suit the needs and tastes of their purchasers. The BMW Individual Collection program offered in Canada adapts the vast number of individual options into a modular system in order to make them more customer-friendly.

“Every BMW vehicle is a personal statement about mobility,” explains Manfred Braunl, National Marketing Manager for BMW Group Canada. “The BMW Individual Collection extends the realm of possibilities even further, so that BMW enthusiasts can create a truly distinct vehicle, tailored to their personal taste.”

The BMW Individual Collection ranges from the 7 Series and X5 Individual editions to the three optional packages (BMW Individual Collection Interior, Exterior and Combination) available for the top models of the BMW 3 and 5 Series.

The BMW Individual Collection Exterior option primarily offers the choice between a variety of unique exterior colours. BMW enthusiasts can also opt for the option of change-effect paintwork, an innovative paint finish that moves across colour spectrums in a chameleon-like manner depending on light and shade. As customary in the BMW manufacturing process, BMW Individual employs an environmentally sensitive paint production process involving the use of a water-based primer matched to base coat paints and designed to ensure a flawless finish.

The BMW Individual Collection Interior option focuses on the harmony between wood trim and luxury materials. The wood trims, available in poplar, birch and maple wood, are in a variety of colours designed to complement the Soft Nappa Leather or Alcantara upholstery – a rich suede-like material. The interior collection applied to the M5, for instance, features the centre console, seatback, instrument panel or tunnel console in Walknappa leather, thereby creating a truly distinctive look and feel.
