BMW announces sponsorship of the Canadian Open

Whitby, Ontario – BMW Canada has announced it will be an exclusive Platinum sponsor of the 2007 Canadian Open, which will be held July 26 to 29 at the Angus Glen Golf Club in Markham, Ontario. The partnership with the Royal Canadian Golf Association, announced in 2006, will see BMW in a three-year agreement through the 2009 Canadian Open, Canada’s only PGA Tour.

BMW is designated the Official Vehicle of the Canadian Open; each participant will receive the use of a BMW vehicle for the duration of the event, while spectators will be able to view vehicle displays during the Canadian Open. As well, all players will have a chance to win a 2007 BMW 335i Cabriolet with a hole-in-one contest at the 17th hole.

BMW Canada’s affiliation with golf includes the BMW Golf Cup International amateur series, the BMW Ultimate Golf Challenge, the Canadian Skins Game in 1998-2001, and the former Vancouver stop on the PGA Tour from 2000 to 2002.
