Bentley to show new Continental GT at Polo for Heart gala

Richmond Hill, Ontario – A special, pre-event fundraising evening will be held on Thursday June 19th prior to the official opening of the 24th annual Polo for Heart Tournament, June 20 – 22nd at the Gormley Polo Centre, Richmond Hill.

The gala evening, jointly hosted by Scotia Capital and Grand Touring Automobiles Gallery of Fine Cars (Bentley of Toronto) for 250 invited guests will be the occasion for the premier unveiling, in Canada, of the 2004 Bentley Continental GT.

The performance merits of Bentley was exemplified with its first and second place finish at last weekend’s 24 hours of Le Mans.

The Polo for Heart kick-off event includes the Bentley/Scotia Capital Challenge Cup featuring top international polo players from Argentina, the United States and Canada, with a live auction of priceless items to follow. All proceeds from the evening will be dedicated to research on behalf of the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation.

To date over $3 million dollars has been raised at the annual tournament for direct funding of the Polo for Heart Chair, at the Centre of Excellence, University of Toronto under team leader and renowned cardiac researcher, Dr. Peter Liu.

Polo for Heart, June 20, 21 & 22nd, 2003 is held at the Gormley Polo Centre, 30 minutes from downtown Toronto on Leslie St. just south of the Bloomington Sideroad. Game time each day is noon and 1:30 pm. General admission is $ 10 p.p. with children 12 and under free. Parking is included. Gates open to the public at 10:30 am and close at 4:30 pm all three days of the tournament.
