BCAA returns to Victoria for centennial year

Burnaby, British Columbia – To celebrate its 100th anniversary year, the British Columbia Automobile Association (BCAA) will host its 2006 Annual General Meeting in Victoria, where the association was formed in 1906.

At the time of its founding, the Victoria Automobile Association was the first of its kind in British Columbia; it eventually emerged with other auto clubs around the province to form the BCAA, which now has 750,000 members.

The AGM will be held Thursday, March 30 and welcomes all members in good standing to attend at the Fairmont Empress Hotel. Prior to the meeting, members will “travel back in time to 1906”, with the aid of historical photos, period costume and entertainment. For more information, visit www.bcaa.com.
