BCAA posts strongest annual operating results in more than two decades
Burnaby, B.C. – The British Columbia Automobile Association (BCAA) enjoyed its most successful year ever in 2005, with record revenue, a second consecutive year of operational profitability, and growth in all of its main business areas.
BCAA’s revenues exceeded targets at $109 million in fiscal year 2005, up from $98.9 million in fiscal 2004; the association earned a net profit of $5.2 million, up from $3.4 million in 2004. Revenue growth is attributed to a number of factors, including an 18,000-member increase to 752,000 members, new business initiatives and product innovation in travel and insurance, and a strong “customer-centric” focus.
