Vancouver, British Columbia – British Columbia’s Solicitor General John van Dongen will join the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) and police representatives today to announce a province-wide high-risk driving awareness and enforcement campaign.

Approximately 5,200 people were injured in 8,200 speed-related crash incidents in 2006. These types of crashes typically increase as the weather gets warmer.

The campaign is being kicked off at BCIT in Burnaby, at Highway 1 and Willingdon Avenue, near the number-one crash location in the province.
