Auto Show Charity Preview raises US$6 million for children’s charities
Detroit, Michigan – The annual black-tie Charity Preview gala at the 2007 North American International Auto Show in Detroit raised around US$6 million for eleven local children’s charities on January 12. Along with celebrity guests, auto exhibitors produced special displays for the event.
This year’s attendees included TV host Rachel Ray, R&B singer Kelis, and DJ Funk Master Flex, while Hall & Oates provided entertainment.
Since its inception in 1976, the event has raised nearly US$70 million for children’s charities in metropolitan Detroit.
