Audi voted “Most popular brand in China”
Ingolstadt, Germany – Audi was voted the most popular premium brand in China by readers of the car magazine Auto Pictorial, the Chinese sister publication of Germany’s Auto Motor und Sport. They voted Audi “Most Preferred Brand 2005”.
The magazine asked readers to vote on aspects such as technical development, quality and service. Audi demonstrated its “Vorsprung durch Technik” in all these disciplines and finished ahead of the competition. Audi models also took top placings in their categories in the poll to find the most popular cars. Audi has picked up 31 titles since the awards were introduced in 2001 – more than any other brand.
Audi has been producing the A6 in China since 1999. The first A4 left the production line there in 2003. This made Audi the first brand to build and sell premium saloons locally.
