Audi TT stars with Hugh Grant in “About a Boy”
Auburn Hills, Michigan – “About a Boy”, a comedy-drama starring Hugh Grant features Grant driving an Audi TT turbo through the streets of London. Grant plays a rich, single, irresponsible Londoner in his thirties who, in search of available women, invents an imaginary son and starts attending single parent meetings. During one of his liaisons, he meets a young boy with problems at school, and as he teaches the boy how to be a “cool kid,” the boy helps Will to finally grow up.
Audi vehicles have appeared in other movies: Richard Gere drives an A8 L in The Mothman Prophecies; there was a green S8 in the classic car chase in Ronin; Russell Crowe drives a silver A4 in The Insider; and Tom Cruise’s co-star Thandie Newton has a silver TT Roadster in Mission Impossible 2.
Audis are also seen on TV: regular appearances include: a melange Audi A6 in both The Practice and Once & Again, and a silver A6 appears in The Agency; a silver S8 in the premiere episode of Watching Ellie; and a blue A6 in Yes Dear. And, if all goes well for Michael Mann in his concept, Metro, the TT Roadster will appear in the initial episode.
