Ingolstadt, Germany – Audi released photos of its new convertible Audi TT roadster yesterday. The new droptop features a power cloth top rather than a folding hardtop. It will go on sale in Canada late in the 2nd quarter of 2007.
Compared to the previous TT Roadster, the new model is 137 mm longer, 78 mm wider and 8 mm taller, while the wheelbase has been extended by 46 mm. Passengers have notably more interior room.
The TT Roadster will be available with two engines: the 3.2-litre V6 that generates 250 hp combined with Quattro AWD, and a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder FSI engine with 200 hp and front-wheel drive. Both models can be ordered with the optional S-tronic dual-clutch gearbox as an alternative to the standard six-speed manual shifter.
Optional suspension damping technology will allow drivers to choose between a dynamic ride or a more comfort-orientated ride.
