Herndon, Virginia – Audi has reached a milestone of two million vehicles sold to U.S. customers, with an A3 TDI sold in Van Nuys, California in late June. The buyer had purchased his first Audi vehicle.
“The story of Audi in the U.S. is really a story written by the hundreds of thousands of people who’ve invited our brand into their lives,” said Johan de Nysschen, president of Audi of America. “We’re grateful for those opportunities.”
Audi first entered the U.S. market 40 years ago with the Audi Super 90 and Audi 100, and expects to reach its third million milestone in fewer years. Since 2000, the company has doubled the number of models and tripled the number of variants it offers in the U.S.
