Audi Q7 will be launched in North America in 2006

Auburn Hills, Michigan – Audi has unveiled its new Audi Q7 SUV at the Frankfurt Motor Show and promises that it will launch in North America in June 2006.

Featuring Quattro all-wheel-drive and Audi’s new corporate-styled face, the Q7 will be the company’s first SUV. It will feature two rows of seats, with an optional third row, all of which will fold flat, and an electrically-operated tailgate. It will be introduced in North America with a 4.2-litre, 350 hp V8 FSI direct-injection engine. It will be joined in September by a 3.6-litre FSI V6 generating 280 hp.

In addition to the gasoline-powered version, Audi also unveiled a concept hybrid version of the Q7 at the Frankfurt Show.
