Audi Q5 to be built in Germany

Ingolstadt, Germany – The new Audi Q5, the company’s second offering in the SUV segment, will be built in Germany, with production to begin in 2008. Approximately 300 million Euros will be invested in the facilities to prepare for the new model, with 1,700 workers involved in production.

The Q5 marks the third major decision in favour of a German location, with the new Audi A5 marked for Ingolstadt, and the Audi R8 sports car for Neckarsulm. The Q5 will join the new Q7 as the Audi brand’s second sport utility vehicle.
