If you want a better Jetta, it’ll cost you $31,100

Audi Canada has released pricing for their new A3 Sedan for 2015 (yes, we are getting there already). And, for the upmarket Jetta, you’ll have to shell out $31,100 just to get the keys to the base model.

For that thirty-one large you get a panoramic sunroof, leather seats, Audi’s MMI infotainment system, Audi active lane assist, adaptive cruise control with stop and go and a Bang & Olufsen audio system.

The base A3 Sedan is one of many new models that will be joining the A3 lineup, soon to include the A3 Cabriolet, A3 TDI clean diesel, S3 Sedan and A3 Sportback e-tron gasoline electric hybrid.

Engines available include two TFSI engines (1.8L and 2.0L), a 2.0L TDI clean diesel, and a semi-hot 2.0L TFSI for the S3. All engines offer Audi’s six-speed S-Tronic transmission as the only option, with front-wheel drive or quattro both available.

Audi Canada announces pricing for the all-new 2015 A3 Sedan

AJAX, Ont. – Audi today announced base pricing for its all-new 2015 A3 sedan. This latest addition to the portfolio represents the entry level to the Audi brand of luxury vehicles with no compromises – it will offer a combination of standard features including a panoramic glass sunroof, leather seating surfaces and AUDI MMI technology, all at a base MSRP starting at $31,100.

“The Audi A3 sedan represents a new opportunity for Audi Canada” said Wolfgang Hoffmann, President, Audi Canada. “It will allow us to expand our offerings to Canadians and showcase lightweight materials, technology and sporty characteristics to a whole new segment.”

The A3 sedan is the first offering in the soon to be expanding Audi A3 family. It will be joined later in 2014 by the recently announced Audi A3 Cabriolet, A3 TDI clean diesel, the high-performance S3 sedan and in early 2015, the A3 Sportback e-tron® gasoline electric hybrid (PHEV). Even the base model of the all-new premium Audi A3 comes equipped with standard features that include Bluetooth® technology, Audi pre sense® basic and a panoramic glass sunroof.

The A3 also marks the first time that a vehicle in this segment will offer MMI® technology, Audi active lane assist, adaptive cruise control with stop and go and a Bang & Olufsen® audio system. Delivering the same prestige and high-quality materials found in the brand’s flagship A8 model. The A3 will also feature standard leather seating surfaces and exceptional ergonomics.

The A3 sedan will offer versatile powertrains for a wide variety of entry-luxury customer tastes, including a 1.8 TFSI®, 2.0 TFSI®, 2.0 TDI® clean diesel, and a high-output 2.0 TFSI® offered in the S3. For superior traction and handling the A3 will also offer the legendary Audi quattro® all-wheel drive which distributes power to the wheels that need it most.

All engines are mated to the standard 6-speed S tronic® transmission, which provides the driver immense shifting flexibility and driving pleasure with smooth, dynamic acceleration and virtually no interruption to the power flow.

The A3 will be available in dealerships for sale in April, 2014.
