Toronto, Ontario – Audi has announced a new event, the Audi Best Buddies Challenge, a walking/running event in Toronto to raise money for Best Buddies Canada, a national charitable organization that creates opportunities for friendship, employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Television personality Rosey Edeh of Entertainment Tonight Canada announced at a media conference that she will be among the celebrity entrants who will participate in the challenge, which will be held on October 24, 2010. The one-, five- and ten-kilometre walking/running event will start and finish at the Shops in Don Mills in Toronto. Also participating will be Masters Champion Mike Weir, Canadian Olympic gold medalists Alex Bilodeau, Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, and Canadian Olympic bronze medalist Joannie Rochette.

The grand prize winner of the 10k Run will be awarded the use of an Audi A5 cabriolet and Audi Q5 for one year, while the grand prize winner of the 5k Walk/Power Walk will win the use of an Audi for one week each season over a one-year period.
