Gaydon, England – Aston Martin will produce a “strictly limited” number of its V12 Zagato due to customer demand. The prototype models won a design award at the Villa D’Este Concours and then completed the 39th ADAC Nürburgring 24 Hour race.
The V12 Zagato is based on the V12 Vantage, with handcrafted aluminum and carbon fibre body. Orders are being taken for the model, which will be built starting in the summer of 2012 and cost £330,000.
“Such style, exclusivity and fastidious craftsmanship ensures it will be one of the most highly coveted models in Aston Martin’s 98-year history,” said Dr. Ulrich Bez, Aston Martin chief executive. “A fabulous celebration of the iconic DB4GT Zagato, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, the V12 Zagato is the perfect inspiration for the next 50 years of Aston Martin.”
