Aramis launches Mustang fragrance for men

Dearborn, Michigan – Under license from the Ford Motor Company, Estee Lauder’s Aramis brand has launched a Mustang fragrance for men. The company says that in its first week of sales at Sears stores throughout the U.S., the cologne was the store’s number-one selling fragrance.
The Sears launch included on-site promotions at 39 locations with Mustang vehicles on display. The fragrance will be available later this summer in Wal-Mart, and at other mass-market chains in the fall.
Aramis said it decided to approach Ford for a Mustang partnership based on research that showed 80 per cent of the car’s buyers are between the ages of 27 and 59, much the same as those who buy men’s fragrances.
