Montreal, Quebec – The Automobile Protection Agency (APA) is asking consumers to come forward if they believe they have experienced problems with late-model Mitsubishi or Mazda3 vehicles.
The agency said that “it appears that the paint of some late-model Mitsubishi vehicles is unusually fragile and chips easily.”
The APA also said that it has received an unusually high number of reports of catastrophic failures of the 2.3-litre engine in the Mazda3. “Abnormal oil consumption typically precedes these failures,” the agency said. “Frequently, an obstruction of the catalytic converter occurs simultaneously.”
The agency is asking anyone who has experienced these problems to fill out complaint forms at APA.
