Standard, Alberta – A collection of antique Ford trucks will go to auction in Standard, Alberta on September 12, 2009, the estate collection of “Doc” Fletcher, a member of the American Truck Historical Society (Alberta Chapter).
The vehicles have been on display in numerous venues, including Heritage Park, Pioneer Acres, and the Reynolds Museum.
Fletcher, a lifelong resident of Standard, dismantled, repaired and reassembled the vehicles in the collection. The trucks range from the 1930s to the 1950s and include a 1950 Mercury half-ton, 1952 Mercury Stepside, 1938 Ford Stepside, 1946 Mercury Stake, 1939 Ford half-ton, 1947 Ford half-ton, and 1946 Panel Truck.
