Detroit, Michigan – The 13th annual Woodward Dream Cruise, billed as the world’s largest one-day celebration of car culture, runs this Saturday, August 18, in nine communities surrounding Detroit, Michigan.

More than one million visitors and more than 40,000 muscle cars, hot rods, custom and special-interest vehicles are expected, along with manufacturers’ displays. Vehicles tour the route throughout the day, which is not closed off to regular traffic.

The cruise runs along a 16-mile (26 km) route along Woodward Avenue, through Berkley, Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Bloomfield Township, Ferndale, Huntingwood Woods, Pleasant Ridge, Pontiac and Royal Oak. Although many communities host events during the preceding days and nights, the official cruise takes place on Saturday only, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Ford will have a large display of new and old vehicles in Shane Park in downtown Birmingham, including the Shelby GT500KR, and areas for Ford Racing, Saleen, Barrett-Jackson, Rousch, Steed and Unique Performance Concepts.
