Anaheim Ducks’ arena is now Honda Center

Anaheim, California – The Anaheim Arena, home to the Anaheim Ducks hockey team, has been renamed the Honda Center. The change was marked by a ceremony in the parking lot that included race driver Danica Patrick in her car.

The naming-rights deal is the first such agreement for Honda, and the first name change for the 13-year-old venue. The agreement has an initial term of 15 years, with the opportunity for a 10-year extension. The arena now has four Honda Center exterior signs, and interior product displays, branding on the two marquees, graphics on the video boards, and a new Web site at www.hondacenter.com. The Ducks’ season opener will feature a chance for a fan to win a 2007 Honda Element.
