American Toyota executive dies in crash of private plane
Los Angeles, California – David Hermance, Toyota’s executive engineer for advanced technology vehicles, was killed on Saturday when his private stunt plane crashed in to the ocean just off the coast of California, according to a story published in Automotive News.
Hermance, 59, was an executive for alternative-fuel vehicles and emissions technologies in North America. He was an accomplished pilot and frequent competitor in aerobatics competitions. He was practicing aerobatics at the time of his death.
