Alberta Motor Association to distribute
free steering wheel locks in Lethbridge
Lethbridge, Alberta – The Alberta Motor Association (AMA) and the Lethbridge Regional Police Services are teaming up to combat vehicle theft by offering a limited number of steering wheel locking devices to Lethbridge area residents.
The AMA says that theft deterrent devices such as steering wheel locks, car alarms and immobilizers can be effective in preventing crimes of opportunities. As part of the ‘Stop! Thief’ program, AMA is giving away a limited number of wheel locking devices, and will demonstrate their use to individuals who pre-register for the session.
The sessions will be held and locks distributed on Monday, May 15 at 6:30 p.m. at Lethbridge Lodge, located at 320 Scenic Drive. Individuals must pre-register by calling AMA at 403-328-1811 to receive a lock.
