Toronto, Ontario – The 2007 Acura MDX, built in Ontario, has earned the U.S. Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s (IIHS) “Top Safety Pick”. The honour recognizes vehicles that perform best in protecting passengers in front, rear and side crashes.
The all-new 2007 Acura RDX also received the award in earlier testing.
“It is an honour for Acura to have its two luxury utility vehicles recognized for their outstanding safety ratings,” says Jim Miller, executive vice president, Honda Canada Inc. “Our commitment is to build high-quality products that provide Acura customers with increased standard safety through advanced technology.”
The MDX includes side curtain airbags, vehicle stability assist, and Acura’s Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system.
