Toronto, Ontario – Acura has announced that its all-new 2010 ZDX four-door “sports coupe” has gone on sale in Canada, with a starting price of $55,990, while the redesigned 2010 Acura MDX luxury SUV will start at $51,990. Both models are built at Honda of Canada Manufacturing’s plant in Alliston, Ontario.
The MDX features a revised powertrain with new six-speed automatic transmission, new exterior styling, chassis refinements and advanced technologies, but pricing on the MDX and MDX Technology Package models is reduced by $910 from 2009 levels. The Elite Package is reduced by $510. The model uses a new 300-horsepower 3.7-litre V6 with six-speed automatic that can be operated manually via steering wheel-mounted paddles. Trim lines are the MDX at $51,990, Technology Package at $57,290, and Elite Package at $61,990.
The ZDX features an all-aluminum 3.7-litre V6 engine, rated at 300 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque, with a new six-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. Standard is Acura’s exclusive Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system, along with 19-inch wheels, the largest standard wheel in the Acura lineup. Other standard features include a panoramic glass roof, hand-stitched leather interior, Bluetooth connectivity, power tailgate, and USB audio interface with iPod integration.
Trim levels are the ZDX, at $55,990, and the ZDX with Technology Package, priced at $59,590. It adds several features including a navigation system with bilingual voice recondition, Acura/ELS Surround premium audio system, and new multi-view rear camera.
