Toronto, Ontario – Honda Canada has announced that the all-new 2007 Acura RDX turbocharged crossover utility vehicle will be priced at $41,000, while the RDX with Technology Package will be $45,000. The RDX will be available across Canada in early September.
The RDX features Acura’s first-ever turbocharged engine, a five-speed automatic transmission with sequential manual shift mode and wheel-mounted paddles, and the company’s patented Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system, which distributes torque between the front and rear axles, and also between the left and right wheels. Using a variable flow turbocharger, the 2.3-litre four-cylinder engine delivers 240 hp while achieving an estimated city/highway fuel economy of 12.4 and 9.8 L/100km. The RDX is built on a new global light truck platform and uses Acura’s first standard 18-inch wheels and tires.
Other features include 60/40 folding rear seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, and premium sound system with auxiliary input jack. The RDX Technology Package adds a 10-speaker surround sound stereo, Bluetooth handsfree capability and navigation system with voice recognition.
