ACDelco’s Internet Parts System now offered in French
Grand Blanc, Michigan – ACDelco’s WISE Internet Parts (WIP) electronic parts catalog and ordering program is now available in both French and Spanish in addition to English, says the company. This offers greater efficiencies, saving French-speaking and Spanish-speaking technicians and counter persons time translating information and helping reduce potential errors due to language barriers.
In addition to now being tri-lingual, WIP has been further expanded with a newer version specifically designed for the Collision segment of the marketplace. Collision is estimated to be a U.S.$3.2 billion annual business, and Collision WIP is geared toward body shops to make finding and ordering the right repair parts simple.
In 2000 and 2001, ACDelco launched two key e-Business tools for shop owners and ISCs: Web Integrated Service Environment (WISE) and WISE Internet Parts (WIP). WIP is a Web-based application that lets ACDelco customers check inventory and order parts online anytime from WISE-enabled ACDelco Warehouse Distributors (WDs). WIP provides a stand-alone service option dedicated to comprehensive cataloging, faster parts access and easier online ordering while simplifying administration for WDs.
