Access Toyota comes to Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island

Halifax, Nova Scotia – Access Toyota, Toyota Canada’s no-haggle car-buying system, is now offered in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. Access Toyota is already available in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, Montreal and Newfoundland.

Under Access Toyota, consumers are provided an up-front “Access price,” which is a price discounted from MSRP (Manufacturers’ Suggested Retail Price) that includes customer-selected factory options, Extra Care Protection Plans and Toyota-authorized dealer-installed accessories.

Equally available is a final “Drive-Away price,” which includes added accessories and options, as well as freight, delivery, taxes and any administration fees.

“Access Toyota responds to the most common complaints about haggling over price and high-pressure sales tactics, by alleviating the need to negotiate,” said Stephen O’Regan, Dealer Principal of O’Regan’s Toyota in Dartmouth.

At the heart of Access Toyota is a unique pricing system set on a geographical market basis. Dealers in the province participate in monthly, anonymous electronic polling to establish an Access price on each vehicle.

“The Access price is set automatically, and is an average of all the figures submitted,” explained O’Regan. “When voting, we consider competitive factors and other variables like inventory levels, current demand and competitor promotions to ensure our customers get the best price possible – which is always lower than manufacturer’s suggested retail price.”

With Access Toyota, customers can:

  • Configure and price various Toyota models with the custom features they require, while comparing price and specifications to other Toyotas, as well as a full range of competitive vehicles. The competitive information is provided through Autodata, a reputable and independent third party organization, to ensure that it is both accurate and current.

  • Obtain and factor an estimated price range for their trade-in vehicle, based on impartial, third-party information from Canadian Black Book. The exact trade-in price will be determined by an inspection at the dealership.
  • Apply for pre-approved credit on-line from Toyota Financial Services, and secure a vehicle by placing a $1,000 deposit. The deposit is completely refundable if the sale is not finalized for any reason.
