Mid-size twins get starting prices of $19,900 and $20,600
GM’s new medium-size trucks have finally been priced for Canada.
When the new trucks go on sale late this year, the Chevrolet Colorado will have a base price of $19,900 with the GMC Canyon sporting a slightly higher sticker price of $20,600.
Both base model trucks are equipped with 200-hp 2.5-litre four-cylinder engines and six-speed manual transmissions. GM’s 3.6-litre V6 engine will be an available option with a diesel engine arriving for the 2016 model year.
Equipment on base models will include power windows and a rear-view camera in an extended cab body configuration.
Other trims on the Colorado include the LT crew cab 2WD, starting at $27,150, and the top-level LTZ 4WD with a $35,700 MSRP. Canyon trims include SLE 2WD extended cab at $28,800 and the SLT 4WD at $38,850. Freight for both trucks is $1,695.
More detailed pricing and fuel economy numbers will be available closer to launch.
