Auburn Hills, Michigan – Ram Truck has announced that it will begin shipping the all-new 2011 Ram Chassis Cab to North American dealers, with deliveries expected to start in late May 2010.
“With Ram Chassis Cabs on their way to dealerships across North American from our Saltillo Assembly Plant, Ram Truck customers now have a full line of vehicles available to meet their needs,” said Scott Garberding, head of manufacturing for Chrysler Group.
Ram Chassis Cabs are available in 3500, 4500 and 5500 weight classes, in three trim levels, in two- or four-wheel drive, and in four cab-to-axle lengths. Available powertrains are a 5.7-litre Hemi gasoline engine with five-speed automatic (in the 3500 only) and the commercial-grade 6.7-litre Cummins turbodiesel, which is available with a six-speed manual as well as a six-speed automatic transmission.
Features on the all-new model include more interior storage, full-size rear crew cab doors, standard power door locks and windows, and quick access to engine hours, transmission and oil temperature, and emission systems information. All Ram Chassis Cab models are available in regular cab or the new full-size crew cab configuration.
