2009 Infiniti FX
Nashville, Tennessee – Infiniti has revealed the all-new 2009 Infiniti FX luxury crossover at the Geneva Motor Show. The second-generation FX will be offered in three models, including a new 5.0-litre V8-equipped FX50, and will go on sale in Canada and the U.S. in June 2008.
The model was unveiled by Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. president and CEO Carlos Ghosn, who also announced details of Infiniti’s plans to enter the Western European market in the last quarter of 2008.
The new model will feature an advanced V6 engine or the 5.0-litre V8, seven-speed automatic transmission with adaptive shift control, and intelligent all-wheel drive. Other features will include intelligent brake assist with forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking, a lane departure warning and prevention system, intelligent cruise control, and the industry’s first application of distance control assist, which helps to release the throttle and apply the brakes to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead.
