Ingolstadt, Germany – Audi announced that the refreshed 2009 Audi A3 2.0 TFSI will be offered with their Quattro all-wheel drive system for the first time in North America. Currently, the A3 2.0T is available only with front-wheel drive. The 2009 A3 2.0 TSFI Quattro will be offered exclusively with the S-Tronic dual clutch transmission, while the A3 2.0 TSFI FWD model will be available with the standard six-speed manual or optional S-Tronic transmission. The A3 3.2 V6 model will continue to offer only the S-Tronic transmission.
In addition, the 2009 A3 will offer new optional magnetic ride control, updated electronic stability control, revised frontal appearance and taillight design, and enhanced interior trim.
The 2009 Audi A3 is scheduled to go on sale in September, 2008. Prices will be announced later this year.
