2008 Chrysler Town & Country auction to benefit Children’s Aid Foundation

Windsor, Ontario – Chrysler Canada is donating a Chrysler Town & Country minivan, valued at $49,320, to the Children’s Aid Foundation’s (CAF) Teddy Bear Affair. The van will be sold at live auction with proceeds to the children’s charity. The Teddy Bear Affair raises hundreds of thousands of dollars each year for children in need.

“We are fortunate that so many people and organizations have contributed each year to make this event so successful on behalf of children across the country,” said Sheilagh Johnson, Executive Director of the CAF. “We have auctioned off some very exciting items in the past and this innovative vehicle is a highlight this year. We are very grateful to Chrysler Canada for their support.”

This year’s sold-out event will be attended by some 1,000 contributors, with entertainment by headliner Tom Cochrane, joined by the Carpet Frogs, Sophie Milman, Alex Tintinalli, Kollage and Toya Alexis.

“Chrysler Canada has a long history of corporate social responsibility, including supporting organizations that help improve our communities,” said Dave Buckingham, Chrysler Canada Vice President of Sales. “We applaud the work of the Children’s Aid Foundation and are thrilled to be able to support their effort to help children with a really quite fitting family vehicle.”
