2006 Hyundai Sonata earns five-star crash test rating
Markham, Ontario – Hyundai Auto Canada has announced that its all-new 2006 Sonata midsize sedan has earned the highest rating in the latest U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) crash tests.
The Sonata received five stars in the frontal and side-impact crash tests for both driver and passenger seating positions. The side tests are conducted at 62 km/h, and full frontal barrier impacts at 56.3 km/h. The Sonata is equipped with front, side and curtain airbags, plus active head restraints for extra whiplash protection.
