2005 vans crash test and rollover ratings now available
Washington, DC – Minivans produced by five different manufacturers have earned the highest possible safety ratings in the latest crash tests conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The minivans included carryover vehicles from model year 2004; all earned the top rating of five stars for all seating positions in frontal and side crash tests. They are: Chrysler Town & Country long-wheelbase; Dodge Grand Caravan; Kia Sedona; Mazda MPV and Nissan Quest.
The Honda Odyssey also received five stars for all seating positions in frontal and side crash tests, but the driver’s door unlatched and opened during the side crash test and thus a safety concern was noted.
Results for all vehicles tested are available at www.safercar.gov.
