2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class gets makeover
Toronto, Ontario – Freshened 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class models, which are already on sale, offer a redesigned interior and a freshened exterior, announced the company.
All C-Class models receive a new dashboard, new four-gauge instrument cluster, new steering wheel, new centre console, and seats that have been redesigned for more comfort and support. Elegance models receive enhanced wood trim with front seats that feature a new adjustable lumbar support and a multi-contouring option.
New body styling, like that of the 2004 model year sport sedan, is now standard. Sport sedans receive new AMG body styling from the model year 2004 C32 AMG as standard, while the sport coupes receive new, more aggressive, body styling and a new perforated grille, similar to that used on the M-Class Inspiration Edition. Each C-Class also receives redesigned clear headlamps and revised tail lamps to further enhance the updated exterior.
As well, the C-Class offers revised special suspension tuning and improved brakes.
The new C55 AMG, which made its world debut in Geneva this past March, replaces the current C32 AMG as the premium performance vehicle within the C-Class line-up.
The front section has been designed to accommodate the powerful 362 horsepower 5.5-litre V8 engine, which marks the return of the V8 to the C-Class.
