Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the SLR McLaren Stirling Moss, a rolling homage to legendary race-car driver, Stirling Moss.

Based on the SLR McLaren coupe and convertible, the Stirling Moss edition has no windscreen or roof, much like the Mercedes racer Moss drove. In place of a roof, the car features two cockpit tonneau panels; both can be left in place to protect the interior while the car is parked, or the passenger side cover can be left in place while the car is being driven.

The car uses the same 650-hp, 5.5-litre V8 used in the SLR 722, and boasts a zero-to-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.5 seconds.

It is estimated that the car will sell for 750,000 Euros, and only 75 will be built.
