Used Vehicle Review: Chrysler Sebring convertible, 1996-1999
The sharp-looking Chrysler Sebring is a purpose-built convertible rather than a coupe or sedan with the roof lopped-off. It replaced the LeBaron convertible in the Chrysler line when it was launched in 1995 as a ’96 model. The Sebring is also unique in convertible circles in that it can comfortably accommodate up to four adults as it has decently-sized rear seats and a trunk that’s bigger than the norm too. Used Vehicle Review: Acura CL, 1997-1999
Charlie Baker, who headed up the development team for the then-new ’97 Acura CL coupe, claimed back in 1996 that his coupe was aimed at the sort of buyer who might consider a BMW 318is coupe. Sort of. You see, the CL then and now is bigger, more powerful and better equipped than a comparably priced Bimmer.
